The management team constitute suppliers that are wholly invested in the environment and sustainability. This is clearly reflected in our environmental management policy, and their Level 3 BOMA BESt certification and Leed certification.

With its events, the centre de conférences qualifies as a community minded supplier. Many of our own suppliers are non-profits. Also, Le 1000 has a sound training and pay equity program that is well documented.

Although the equipment used during events sometimes belongs to other suppliers, the centre de conférences is designed with several types of reusable lighting and connection equipment, both permanently installed and portable such as chairs, tables, dishes, ustensiles and signage.

Sinks with water-saving devices and low-flow toilets and movement detection for lighting have already been installed, and progress in this respect is ongoing.

Avoid wasting food and donate overages to charitable organizations

Leftover food can be donated to several nearby charities, such as Accueil Bonneau and the Old Brewery Mission.

Our waste management system covers several hazardous substances and materials: paint, batteries, fluorescent tubes and computers.
