Challenge Le 1000 - Results
The fifth edition of the Challenge Le 1000 has proven to be one of the most memorable celebrations yet. Le 1000’s property management team and the Heart & Stroke Foundation wish to thank all participants and contributors from the bottom of their hearts. Everyone’s fervent dedication truly made an impact on the success of this year’s fundraising campaign.
Fundraising Campaign
Le 1000 promised to donate an additional contribution of $1,000 should the Challenge Le 1000’s fundraising goal of $ 3,000 be reached. We are pleased to announce that the amount collected reached the sum of $2,937.56, from which $1,438 was donated by Smart & Biggar’s incredible fundraising efforts. As the objective was so nearly reached, Le 1000 has decided to go ahead and donate the additional contribution. Therefore, a total of $3,937.56 will be donated to the Heart & Stroke donation to support their very important mission.
A Surprising Finale
Vincent Daignault who took part in the event as a spokesperson for the Heart & Stroke Foundation surprised quite a few folks around 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2014, as he took on the Challenge Le 1000 and climbed all 39 floors accompanied by his first responders. He did so almost four years after surviving a cardiac arrest that occurred at Le 1000 De La Gauchetière in March 2011. Congratulations!
Prize Distributions
Le 1000 wishes to tip its hat off to the Smart & Biggar team that had signed up for the Tenants’ Challenge; 56% of their employees have climbed Le 1000 while their entire office participated in their impressive fundraising efforts. Hence, the Smart & Biggar team will receive as a well-deserved prize, a conference on health on behalf of Olympe.
Door prizes have also been donated by the Le 1000 Fitness Centre. To determine the winners, a draw was conducted under the supervision of Mrs. Marie-Alexia Meyer, Administrator of Client Relations and Environment, and Ann Cooper, Director of Marketing.
